Michael Pedersen

Michael Pedersen on palkittu skotlantilainen runoilija ja kirjailija ja työskentelee tällä hetkellä Edinburghin yliopiston “Writer in Residence”-apurahalla. Hänen proosarunoteoksensa Boy Friends julkaistiin 2022 (Faber & Faber) ja sai loistavat arvostelut sekä valittiin Sunday Timesin Critics Choice -voittajaksi. Hänen tuore kokoelmansa The Cat Prince toi hänelle Books are my Bag -lukijoiden palkinnon vuoden 2023 parhaana runokirjana sekä Robert Louis Stevenson -residenssiapurahan. Hänen runouttaan ovat ylistäneet mm. Stephen Fry, Nicola Sturgeon, Irvine Welsh sekä Kae Tempest.

 

Michael Pedersen is a prize-winning Scottish poet and author, and the Writer in Residence at Edinburgh University. His poetic prose debut, Boy Friends, was published by Faber & Faber in 2022 to rave reviews and was a Sunday Times Critics Choice. His third collection, The Cat Prince, won the Books Are My Bag Readers Award for Best Poetry Book 2023. Among other accolades, Pedersen has been shortlisted for the Forward Prizes for Poetry and won a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship.
