Emma Puikkonen

Emma Puikkonen (b. 1974) is a novelist and drama writer who likes to tackle topical themes. Her novel Eurooppalaiset unet (2016) was shortlisted for the Finlandia Prize. She has covered the topic of climate change with the Rakkaudesta group by combining performance, modern circus, and literature. Her latest novel Lupaus is an intensive, beautifully written story about motherly love, the changing North and its people.
