Merka Metowa |
Merka Metowa (German Mieth, born 1959) is one of the newer names in Sorb literature in Lausitz, Germany. Since the beginning of the 1990s she has published short prose in various anthologies and magazines. Her first collection, Wulèt do paradiza, came out in 1997. It has been translated into Czech (1999) and partially into German. Metowa is a qualified librarian and currently works in the advertising department of a publishing firm. She lives in Bauzen in Germany.
