Markus Jääskeläinen |
Markus Jääskeläinen (b. 1969) is a Finnish poet and translator. His debut collection Kunnes muuta näen (Until I see something else) appeared in 1994. The fourth collection Tässä hetkessä, varoittamatta (At this moment, without warning) is due to appear in September 2001. Jääskeläinen has translated poems by, e.g., William Carlos Williams into Finnish. An anthology of modern Indian poetry entitled Hän jota ei ole (He who is not), translated into Finnish jointly by Jääskeläinen and poet Merja Virolainen, is due for release in autumn 2001. Jääskeläinen has rendered into Finnish Jack Kerouac's novel Dharma Bums, which is also due to appear in autumn 2001.
