Rikki Ducornet (Erica Ducornet, born 1943) is an American writer and illustrator. She has written five novels, several books for youngsters and collections of short stories, as well as six collections of poetry that she has illustrated herself. Her latest published work is a collection of short stories, The Word 'Desire' (1997). Her first four novels (1984-1993) form an alchemistic quartet of the four basic elements: earth, fire, water and air. It has been suggested that she has been influenced by Lewis Carroll, Rabelais and surrealists. Ducornet was awarded the Lannan Fellowship in 1993. She currently lives in Denver, Colorado.
