Peter Cameron (born 1960) is a writer from New York and he has
published three novels and three collections of short stories. His
first work One Way or Another appeared in 1986 and his latest
novel Andorra in 1998. Cameron's books have been praised for
the expressiveness of the observations and language in them. He
has twice received The O. Henry Prize and his works have been
translated into twelve languages. Cameron writes stories, literary
criticism and essays for several newspapers and magazines (e.g.
The New York Times Book Review, The Washington Post, The
New Yorker and The Yale Review.) He has taught fiction writing at
Oberlin College and Columbia University.
